Class Action Robots

Robots may someday take over a lot more jobs than we have now. And how would that work with a population that's much larger than it used to be? We never used to have robots make cars but it happens, and they work quite well. There are probably a ton of factory or assembly-line type jobs that could be replaced by robots and that could lead to a major change in the way we do things. Right now prices on everything are going up and jobs are getting harder to find because everyone wants to hold on to their jobs. Imagine how it'll be later on. In movies you see robots doing household chores or working and that could be but nobody will ever know of the many casualties that come about from progress. The casualties of poverty that will never make it as the rest survive. It's some sort of survival of the fittest and I'd hate to be grouped into a classification of people that will never make it in life. That could lead to huge ghettos. Humanity is a fragile thing and we're on a race to replace humans in our economy driven world. Ghettos, if they got too large could lead to anarchy so it's never really a good idea to just try to forget some people as if they don't matter. But people do it all the time. I agree that robots are helping though, and especially with things like cars. I could imagine all the many applications of something like that but one has to wonder where it's all leading. Everything is a balance. And if our economy is possibly in a slight decline then that's really bad timing for something like progress through the loss of jobs. The more I think about it I think this minor set back of a small economic depression is halting our progress for the time being and we won't continue until it's over. But we all know how this goes. We'll be watching T.V. as things keep progressing with new cell phones in commercials and all kinds of new things as we go through the job dilemma more and more. Meanwhile, people with enough money will watch the T.V. and think nothing as others suffer. That's the way it would happen if it does, and nobody would know. It's cruel and cold and I can't imagine how bad it could get before people catch on. Hopefully that doesn't happen. And robots will continue to make our lives easier... or was that harder? It should be easier but many places are shutting down even, due to high rent raising prices. And houses are getting taken away. There may be many casualties on the way to the future, lets do our best to make sure it doesn't happen that way. Robots are welcome, but we can't think about replacing jobs when we need the jobs more than ever. Honestly, I'd love to see more robots in jobs that are too dangerous for people, like those oil jobs they show on T.V. but they might disagree. This is a crucial turning point for humanity, one we'll forget in the future.
