Cleaning Up Oil Spills - Article #800!

This article makes the 800th article I've written! That is a minor achievement of some sort I think. I'm smilin'. So for my 800th article I decided to write about something scientific... which makes me cringe, haha, but it's current. Yes, it's true that people are designing chemicals that could help clean up oil spills, and yes they're looking to this new science everyone keeps hearing about, nano-science. That's about the only way you could create a chemical to clean up an oil spill I think. But what really matters is how they do it! Think about it, what if they end up creating some horror like out of some video game I played, "Nanobreaker", where the nano-cells end up taking on a life of their own? That would be the worst thing imaginable, if we introduced a new nano-cell chemical into nature in the ocean to clean up oil and we end up introducing a new lifeform! But this is really far fetched of course. So don't take it seriously. But that's not to say that it couldn't happen! And pouring a ton of these nano-cells into the ocean is something you would have to be 100% sure about or it could be far worse than ever imagined! The very worst scenario could be that they take on a life of their own and start mutating nature and animals. I hope those scientists really know what the heck they're doing! And if that works then they should really think about trying to cure AIDS with nanotek ideas, I know it would work. You could apply that science to damn near anything.
