By now we should all know that experiments are being done on cyborgs. And it's something we'll never be able to stop. Something like that will always have people working on it. So my question is when they first come out will they be like toys? Like that commercial where a robot checks the mail and waves to the neighbor? But that's not exactly cyborg is it? No. Cyborgs would be like organisms that you don't have to feed, it's creepy really. So what on Earth would the first application be? If we created pets that we never had to feed that would be ironic. Like synthetic cats. But then would they ever die? And how much intelligence would they have? And if it's not like a pet then what would it be? Like an A.I. brain that thinks? But what if it realizes that it's never going to die? Even an A.I. program could freak out if it got too smart. I don't know what to think of cats that would never die, that's just funny really. You see, my real question here is how would a cyborg of any type deal with knowing that it's never going to die? Or would they? Maybe the first ones would be able to die like in "Bladerunner". Except in that movie they only lasted 4 years. Which just sounds inhumane to me. I suppose cyborgs could help with all sorts of jobs. But what's the real purpose of creating a cyborg? Maybe the first cyborg will be a person with a chip implanted in their arms to use as identification instead of a card. Wow, that sounds really creepy to me. It's really a monstrous idea to create a cyborg, I can't think of one good thing to come from it. But I'm not just talking about people, I meant other things, like pets, etc. Humans will eventually go that way cause' they'll replace limbs with synthetics, but the real horror would be something that isn't human being cyborg. Like cyborg fish that could withstand the global warming heating up the sea. God, if that ever happened then the balance of our ecosystem would be thrown off. Animals that could never die are a bad idea. Or enhanced animals. So what on Earth could they do? Please don't tell me something like Goddamn super soldiers! And would they be able to die? I have a scary feeling that a cyborg wouldn't respond to the notion of death well. Cyborgs wouldn't believe in mortality.
