Fright Toons

I thought I should mention this show, not that it's cyberpunk, but it fits into the horror side of this site loosely. "Beetlejuice", the cartoon series. I loved that show. At first I loved the movie more but the cartoon had a lot more to it because it went on forever. I bet you could pick up the collection somewhere and have a nice collection of episodes. That was back in the 80's when goth and cyberpunk were so incredibly popular. Now days you have to have a really good idea for anyone to go for it. That might be a good idea though if we want to save ideas for future movies so we don't run out of ideas or anything. Sure the 80's were cheesy with movies like "Weekend At Bernie's" but there was a lot of cool stuff going on back then. I suppose we made up for it though with "Interview With The Vampire" and "The Matrix" and other such movies. But if it weren't for those movies we'd never have the movies we have now. The question is are things running out of imagination in those two genres? Not sure but Beetlejuice can kill time till the next one comes around. I think it's great just for the fact that it's the type of thing you could never imagine becoming a cartoon series. And it worked. And being a cartoon, you know that kids are watching it. So it appealed to a huge crowd even more after the movie with this series. Not many movies do become cartoons and to think this one was one is pretty cool, out of all the ones they could've chosen.
