A Truly Creepy Haunted House

Well, to lighten things up after that last article about the economy I decided to write about something that really interested me a lot. Since this site covers both horror and cyberpunk I've decided to write about another haunted house. The first haunted house mentioned on this site was from a movie, so that ain't quite the same. This house is the "Trebor Mansion". You wouldn't believe the mystery revolving around this house. I couldn't believe it so I had to read everything about it 3 times. They say that an architect by the name of John Monroe was commissioned to build the house in 1830. And the house was built in 1830. It's baffled people though with it's amazing craftsmanship well before its time. It turns out that the house had been built, but there was no record of a John Monroe. So who built it? Nobody knows. And the people that lived in the house were all crazy people. Literally, they had gone mad. The last person to live there has spent many years in an asylum. So does the house drive them crazy? That's the mystery. But also, the style of the house being so beautiful. It was far more beautiful than most any house in existence during its time. And despite the owners always being people that went mad the house somehow kept getting rebuilt to be bigger and more beautiful. It started as a 3 bedroom house but turned into a 22 bedroom Inn. And the real mystery was in the three building techniques that were obviously present in the architecture. The house would have to be built 50 years before its time to incorporate all 3 styles. The history books say it kept getting renovated and that explains everything. But who gave the money to keep rebuilding it? It's as if the house built itself over and over to be better and better. And history books hardly even speak of the most amazing house built during that time by a well known family. In the end a fire around 2004 had destroyed the house finally. Nobody was living in it at the time I believe and the police said that it couldn't be a fire caused by a fireplace because it wasn't working. So if it was a fire it would've had to have been electrical. How on Earth could an electrical fire start in a house that nobody lived in? For many years people in the area of this house have been afraid of the ghosts that they say lived there. One being a fire poltergeist. They believe the spirit released itself and burned the house built by Satan (or so people think). In Germany they started fire insurance due to numerous "fire poltergeists". Can you imagine! So how on Earth could this house keep being rebuilt more and more amazingly beautiful while it drove people mad? And who built it? They say the fire evidence proved that it was built upon. But a photo of the house proves otherwise. So according to the photo dating 1849 the house looked the way it did now back then - With three building styles not present in that time! It's just not possible but seems to be. Apparently the house was built that way in 1830, 50 years before the styles came about. Devilish style to mix three future styles if you ask me. It's as if the house was a spirit of its own making!
