There have been many viruses rise up from out of nowhere lately but one of the oddest ones to occur is a "foot to mouth" disease that spread between pigs. With humans I could understand, but pigs? Then from those same pigs it spread to goats and then to cows. How odd is that? It's amazing to think we could be advancing in so many ways yet be humbled all over again by something like a pig foot to mouth virus. I always knew they were filthy animals but seriously, who would think of such a thing ever happening? And if that's not enough there have been many viruses written about that emerged and nobody ever heard about them. But you can find books on the plagues that the government kept a secret. They might be unknown viruses too, which would've been a good reason to keep it secret. But now that books are out on the subject we can all educate ourselves on what's happened. I thought the freakiest of viruses was one that was created by people getting sweaty and touching the same stuff (lockers, metal bars) too much and creating a virus that eats flesh! Just by not cleaning things. Or what about that crazy duck flu that killed people? Everything you ever thought about washing your hands and dirty animals has been true apparently. I just never believed it so much till now.
