War Breeds War

Some say we are in for it, that an economic depression is bound to happen. It is possible but completely preventable. Future presidential candidates are now able to talk on our level with speeches about more kids being able to go to colleges, which is a good idea to reverse any possible depression. As things go up in price we all know where this will lead. Jobs will be harder and harder to find because there'll be more people looking for the same jobs. Now days I see hardly any young people working anywhere, it's all people in their 30's. So what could possibly happen? It means most or all kids are going to college and the ones left behind are struggling to find work because they can't afford college. I'm wondering what could cause a depression. Is it the terrorist attacks? The cost of the war in Iraq? And where could it all lead? I see economic depression being very bad for a country like the U.S. because that would mean the possibility of anarchy. And with anarchy would come war. Some people think WW3 could happen due to several reasons. One being that the Chinese know our secret nuclear plans and they have a 1 million man army and counting. They could plan an attack if they really wanted to. They could out-man us with sheer land armies alone. But America has always been about equalization by having the best weapons, and the most. Back in the day people would dare mess with the U.S. but now I think it would be a bit mad unless you were ready for your army taking plenty of casualties. And it is true, even in the past things like war have led to economic depression and prices going up. That damn war in Iraq could be leading to an economic depression! If there was a lot of civil conflict going on in the U.S. it would make us easy targets for anything. And in the long run that's exactly what any terrorist would really hope for - depression, anarchy, possible war, etc. As a matter of fact that may have been their plan from the start. To just wear us out slowly and ruin our economy. For all the talk the world says about the U.S. being bad I think the fact that our country is so strong is why there hasn't been another serious war. In other countries there are wars but I'm talking about multi-country wars. We can all guess that depression leads to war and war leads to more worse depression. We should start taking action now. If the U.S. was ever in a state of civil war it would make us an easy target for anyone to attack. That's the problem with the war on the terrorists, it just isn't working, they're winning in the long run. If you ask me it's going to take a different strategy. Sending in troops into another country is just asking for a war to break out because other countries don't have to like what we're doing either. I don't think it's possible to stop the terrorists by simply eradicating them. If we spent all that money and time just looking for one man instead of all of them then it could lead to nobody having to shoot a gun. It's like going after a drug dealer in South America, but we don't know where he is so we just kill his army but then another army arrives to make it hard for us. That kind of battle can't be won with shooting. We have to save our armies and resources for a worse time. For instance if the terrorists came over to attack us now we would have all our troops over in Iraq as they go crazy over here. And then the troops would come back and that would lead to a very bad depression indeed. What's it all worth to end up in a depression over war? We've got to be able to come up with a better strategy to find a terrorist than what's been done in the past. And we have to stop playing chess, soldiers are not pawns to be shot down. What worse timing could there be for an economic downturn when we have to think about things that really matter like global warming. Seeing only one salmon on sale at the supermarket for $95.00 and gas for $4.00/gallon is scarier to me than the war, especially if the war is doing more harm than good.
