Dark Knight Clowns Keep It Creepy

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Monday, June 30, 2008 at 7:38 PM

Am I the only one that thinks "The Dark Knight" will make Heath Ledger as famous as Brandon Lee in "The Crow"? It's a sad thought but probably true. I think Heath died more like Elvis though if you ask me. He's a cool guy, he was dating the most highly paid supermodel, a very cute, young blonde model. And I heard they broke up a year before he died of an accidental sleeping pill overdose. I know he was really broken up about her leaving him so you never know, it may have been a suicide. I thought he was so cool, there weren't many actors you could compare him to at all, he was so original. The Dark Knight looks to be a re-make of the first Batman with Michael Keaton since "Batman Begins" was the prequel to this one. So can Heath Ledger live up to Jack Nicholson's portrayal of the Joker? I'm thinking Jack Nicholson was great in his own way, and a very great Joker, but Heath will be more diabolical, and he adds more darkness to the character if that was possible. You know there'll be posters hanging in "Hot Topic" everywhere when it comes out. And shirts. That smeared clown make-up adds to the creepiness of the character. Apparently he's one of those people that believes clowns should stay creepy. I'm glad they actually decided to release this movie, it was up for debate right after Heath Ledger's passing. And they even have it showing in IMAX theaters, a great commemoration of his achievement.

A Digital Genesis

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on at 6:07 PM

As we prepare our T.V.'s to go digital I wonder how many people will be left without television. You know tons of poor people have been buying those old "rabbit-ears" T.V.'s to get a few channels if not all of them. Digital means you need to get cable service to get the T.V. channels. So that will divide and draw a line between people for once. I suppose that it was bound to happen, all those old T.V. antennas have probably been up for a long time and can be considered way out of date by now. Information transfer isn't done the same anymore and ironically the new way will shut out a lot of people. I had a crappy black & white T.V. in college that I watched "The Simpsons" on. What I would've done without that I don't know. They had their own appeal really, trying to tune in the stations that you aren't supposed to get. My friend once spliced cable from a friend's apartment. Now everything will be digital. That marks a major change to me. And information transfer will be done with mostly fiber optics, sending information through wires of light. And someday computers will have nothing but fiber optics in them because light can transfer the information much faster. Fiber optics are so space age to me, I'm still in amazement of it really. Now digital, that's a different terrain, not quite as good as fiber optics, but if you mix the two then you got really fast fiber optic digital transfer. Comcast supposedly does this for their service of internet and cable already but I think it could go much faster. They have to regulate speeds on transfer to be able to monitor hacking and other crazy things. Besides speed everything being digital is pretty big. Next thing you know Blockbuster will sell digital downloads. But I'll always love DVD boxes, you can't replace a library you could actually see on a shelf with digital downloads. And then that'll cause a major problem with storage, people's computers will need a lot more storage to store music, movies, games, and everything else. It's at times like this I wonder if the future could ever really be better in certain ways. And that is a scary thought, to think progress could be hindering us, which is theoretically possible but not likely. With everything digital that means we'll be able to pay for anything anywhere. It all leads to a single system to do everything. Which can be good and bad. But in a race for convenience are we giving up more? Everything is always about convenience.

The House Of Yahweh's Doom Vision

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on at 1:57 PM

"The House of Yahweh". Have you heard of it? It's a church that a guy started to create his own religion. Now he's sittin' pretty with a mansion and tons of cash thanks to asking people to give him money to help them when the end of the world comes. They believe that nuclear war will eradicate the human species. Can you say cult?! They have guns and ammunition and they give him tons of money to protect them from eternal damnation. He also has two wives. And he says he's a prophet. So he's a polygamist. And he's got two cadillacs at home in Abilene, Texas. This guy is crazy but you have to give him credit, he cashed in on making people afraid of nuclear war and nuclear apocalypse.. getting two young wives in the process. Pretty slick, but not my style. I don't believe in using people to get all that stuff. People like that will put on a show forever just to keep all their stuff. He literally makes himself believe the role he's playing as the prophet of nuclear doom in Texas. Former members have been known to have up to 2 dozen wives! And some underage! What is it with all these crazy religions with prophets leading them to being saved by giving up their young daughters to old men and giving up all their money?

Dig For Coffins

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on at 1:15 PM

Versus Music #18. I love this band. "Coffins". These guys are doom death with a slight industrial tinge. Now that's what I call music. They're from Tokyo, Japan and sound mean as Hell. I don't know of many doom bands that really peak my interest except a couple, only for the reason that there aren't many out there. Otherwise I'd be loving the stuff more. I know of Neurosis, which to me is the best "doom" if you want to call it that and they know it. And there's a couple others but Coffins does it with originality. The cover to their new album and CD is sick and twisted and it looks great, zombies eating a hot naked chick. They have it out on vinyl too. I like the skinny 80's sunglasses that the singer Uchino wears too, they're like those retro punk kind that you could always find in the back of K-Mart in the kids section and they're better than those Terminator ones. I love the low level of the guitar and base, that's the way I play. It's catchy stuff too, and in their own way they've become quite the legends. That's what you get when you stick with something that nobody else believes in, you get the glory of the hard work when it does pay off. I now love doom and death a lot more. I bet these guys hang out with Mortician and the like. These guys are fans of American doom too, they're the real deal.

Violent Sports In Our Future

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Sunday, June 29, 2008 at 2:40 PM

I was watching wrestling the other day on TNA and it honestly scared me for the first time ever, and I've been watching wrestling for years. It keeps getting more and more violent doesn't it? The worst I've seen has got to be what that "3-D" group did to A.J. Styles, ganging up on him and beating him to a bloody pulp. I thought he was gonna die or something. And then they got Awesome Kong doing some really violent looking power bombs. Is it just me or are those movies about the future of sports being death sports somewhat in grasp? I can see now how easy it could be for people to regress into animals in a future that possibly didn't go right. And with the way things usually work, they keep upping the ante more and more, it's the way of things. So what will the future hold? I can't imagine it getting any worse than that but I'm sure it could. And then one has to wonder if it's really a sport anymore. They think people watch for the drama, but it gets to be addictive to need to push things further and further. I get tired of seeing those matches interferred with by people like the way Nash was fighting Booker T and lost due to Samoa Joe interferring. Nash should've won that match for sure. If this is a sign of things to come then I think the underground fighting scene makes a little sense, in the real underground they use weapons and it's very sickening. Why can't they just wrestle? it's supposed to be wrestling. But I still watch it.

VERSUS GIRL #31 - I Hate The Color Pink

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 6:04 PM

Vote Or Be My Prisoner!
This new Versus Girl is rather young but I like to go back and forth from older to younger actresses. Run the gamut. Actually, she used to be younger. Now she's all grown up and hot! Julianna Rose Mauriello is her name. A lot of young actresses get recognized in their youth and get a following. Even this girl. She's known for her character in a kid's show called "Lazy Town" with her pink hair when she was young. I hate the color pink but she made it look so adorable as a kid. Truth is they grow up quite quickly. By the time I heard of her she turned 20. I think she was about 18 in her first film. She's not from Iceland but the show she was on was from there. When you think about it Lazy Town is a funny name huh? I had no idea who this girl was so I had to watch an interview of her on the Tony Danza Show to figure it out. She was like 14 in that interview. She's so cheery and bouncy and smiley, but aren't all girls that age? Stay that way please. She's from the U.S. but she had to move to Iceland to film the show. And now she's got her sights on movies! So we may see more of her in the future. Actually, she has been in a movie, "A Fix". Sounds like a drug movie Julianna. She's grown up to be quite the head turner. You have to admit she's got one cute smile. She's what I would call a fresh, young star waiting to blossom. Her desire is to enter movies. Please do! Indie movies are o.k. but we wanna see more. Hopefully she transitions well and keeps her appeal. It's like Emma Watson; is she gonna have the same appeal now that she's not that 16 year old in "Harry Potter"? Maybe, but we all love her for her youth too. I must say I can't really recognize her in this runway pic at the "Despicable Me" premiere. If that is her she's totally hot now! I think she reminds me a lot of Saoirse Ronan at 14 too. They look a lot alike if you look at the pics of her at the same age.. Take a nod from the Olsen Twins; they were so cute when they were younger but by 18 they were anorexic and nobody ever saw them in movies since. So is it so bad to notice a cute actress? Naw. We like the fact that they've got a bright future and teen years are the cutest. The Lazy Town show was good for her youth but with a name like that it makes you wonder if kids will get lazy, lol! She's sort of a "off the radar" kinda chick so far. Get in more movies girl. I wonder if she's like Emma Watson in one regard, willing to do nude scenes?! Well... I had to ask.

Class Action Robots

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on at 12:00 PM

Robots may someday take over a lot more jobs than we have now. And how would that work with a population that's much larger than it used to be? We never used to have robots make cars but it happens, and they work quite well. There are probably a ton of factory or assembly-line type jobs that could be replaced by robots and that could lead to a major change in the way we do things. Right now prices on everything are going up and jobs are getting harder to find because everyone wants to hold on to their jobs. Imagine how it'll be later on. In movies you see robots doing household chores or working and that could be but nobody will ever know of the many casualties that come about from progress. The casualties of poverty that will never make it as the rest survive. It's some sort of survival of the fittest and I'd hate to be grouped into a classification of people that will never make it in life. That could lead to huge ghettos. Humanity is a fragile thing and we're on a race to replace humans in our economy driven world. Ghettos, if they got too large could lead to anarchy so it's never really a good idea to just try to forget some people as if they don't matter. But people do it all the time. I agree that robots are helping though, and especially with things like cars. I could imagine all the many applications of something like that but one has to wonder where it's all leading. Everything is a balance. And if our economy is possibly in a slight decline then that's really bad timing for something like progress through the loss of jobs. The more I think about it I think this minor set back of a small economic depression is halting our progress for the time being and we won't continue until it's over. But we all know how this goes. We'll be watching T.V. as things keep progressing with new cell phones in commercials and all kinds of new things as we go through the job dilemma more and more. Meanwhile, people with enough money will watch the T.V. and think nothing as others suffer. That's the way it would happen if it does, and nobody would know. It's cruel and cold and I can't imagine how bad it could get before people catch on. Hopefully that doesn't happen. And robots will continue to make our lives easier... or was that harder? It should be easier but many places are shutting down even, due to high rent raising prices. And houses are getting taken away. There may be many casualties on the way to the future, lets do our best to make sure it doesn't happen that way. Robots are welcome, but we can't think about replacing jobs when we need the jobs more than ever. Honestly, I'd love to see more robots in jobs that are too dangerous for people, like those oil jobs they show on T.V. but they might disagree. This is a crucial turning point for humanity, one we'll forget in the future.

Programming The Mind

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 10:24 PM

Versus Science #42. When talking about things like programmable brains you have to wonder if that stuff is only in movies or if it could ever be a reality. I think after seeing that stuff in movies we might know better but you never know. It's easier than we think and it could be done somewhere by a privately funded group. Then you could end up with an assassin like in that game "Killer 7" with 7 personalities. And you could program the personalities as insane as that sounds. I don't see why people would want to do things like that myself but it can be a good way to get people to not be traumatized by what they've done. They say some people have grown insanely strong during sleepwalking.. so imagine if you could awaken that part of the brain during the use of another personality! You could go from the weak looking guy to the strong badass with the flick of a button. And it leaves no witnesses when the killer can't remember what they've done. But what else could this lead to? Could we all be under one consciousness like in that game "Deus Ex: The Invisible War"? I think that's the most scary thing I've ever heard. Groups like the "Illuminati" come to mind. The great illumination, more like the great brainwash.

Killer Clone Babes Wreak Havoc

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on at 12:14 AM

Versus Book #17. Here's a cool comic. I love comics and this one really stood out to me. It's called "Girls", a Luna Brothers series comic. Luna Brothers puts out some other series too called "The Sword". This one, "Girls", is a sci-fi horror story about a small town invaded by beautiful, murderous clones. Now it doesn't say whethere they're androids or cyborgs or just clones but it falls into the sci-fi horror genre so it ought to be interesting! I love stories like this and it's so simple really. It makes me wonder why I didn't think of it. The cover is appealing as Hell too with that nude girl. It reminds me of something Stephen King would write because he likes to write about small towns and normal people going through absurd situations, with a sci-fi killer clone twist. Some stories on clones have been in movies but there still aren't many and this one is a great idea. It's so simple yet odd, murderous clones ravaging a small town, I bet it could make a great movie like "30 Days Of Night". That story also took place in a small town. So now I'm wondering, what is it they want? Are they just out for blood? Who created them? Not since "Dark Angel" on T.V. have I been this excited. I'll be checking out these girls for sure!

The Worst Of Things Makes Us Adapt

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 11:44 PM

Earthquakes are the most devastating of natural disasters. I've studied them all, tornados, hurricanes, etc. and earthquakes take the most casualties and happen the most often. It's pretty sad that people have to deal with natural disasters at all but I think in the far future we won't even have to worry about them at all. And we'll look back on life and laugh at the way things used to be. Sorta like the way we can handle a cold now but back in the day many years ago people died from things like the cold. All the many casualties it takes to progress really spins your head sometimes. I think we've got to totally rethink how we build things. Buildings will be built much stronger in the future. And those bridges falling, that's just too frightening, I feel so sorry for those people, there was even a school bus on one bridge! You can bet people of the future would be shocked at things like that. I can see it all now, we will learn from all this and adapt but for now we're doomed to go through it. For all we know buildings might even levitate in the future and then earthquakes and moving tectonic plates would never hurt us. There is one natural disaster that could though.. the super volcano under "Yellowstone" national park. A caldera could wipe out all living things on Earth, but some would survive, we have things now like underground shelters and air filter masks. Some people would adapt if need be.

You Might Not Be Real

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on at 12:13 AM

Versus Art #19. In virtual reality what is real is not real and you are a real person but you're not even real really. But what you feel is real and what you see will register in your brain as a real 3-D thing in front of you. You can't always know what is real in life and the same is true in VR. So I've heard theories that say that if you experienced some trauma in VR that was so real to your brain that your body would actually manifest the wound in the shape of the weapon. They say that could happen if the VR was intensive enough on your brain. So does that mean that things that happen in life aren't always real? They could or maybe not, but when you think about it if your brain was strong enough you could make a wound disappear. VR theories could prove the power of the mind to be quite strong. Imagine you get shot in VR and your body has a gunshot wound in it, that's some crazy stuff! That could happen if your mind made the wound appear. So if your mind could theoretically make a wound appear on virtual impact what does that mean for experiences you feel in the real world? How real are your experiences in the real world if your mind can do the same thing in VR?

Viral Devastation Kept Secret

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 11:15 PM

There have been many viruses rise up from out of nowhere lately but one of the oddest ones to occur is a "foot to mouth" disease that spread between pigs. With humans I could understand, but pigs? Then from those same pigs it spread to goats and then to cows. How odd is that? It's amazing to think we could be advancing in so many ways yet be humbled all over again by something like a pig foot to mouth virus. I always knew they were filthy animals but seriously, who would think of such a thing ever happening? And if that's not enough there have been many viruses written about that emerged and nobody ever heard about them. But you can find books on the plagues that the government kept a secret. They might be unknown viruses too, which would've been a good reason to keep it secret. But now that books are out on the subject we can all educate ourselves on what's happened. I thought the freakiest of viruses was one that was created by people getting sweaty and touching the same stuff (lockers, metal bars) too much and creating a virus that eats flesh! Just by not cleaning things. Or what about that crazy duck flu that killed people? Everything you ever thought about washing your hands and dirty animals has been true apparently. I just never believed it so much till now.

The Magnet Man

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Monday, June 23, 2008 at 11:21 PM

Could nuclear weapons create mutants? Most say no. Even most knowledgable people on the subject would say no. But some things make you think otherwise. Like, for instance, the magnet man, a man that can have metallic objects stick to him without using any glue or adhesive. And he can even hang weights off of metal plates stuck to his chest by nothing but his chest! The bricks in the picture are held by nothing but the metal plate and the plate is simply magnetized to him. How bizarre is that? I am shocked for real. And it takes a lot to shock me. But how else could you explain that? He's seeming to have properties of some kind. And depending on where he lives that could possibly be from nuclear activity. There have been known creatures turning up in the ocean that they've never seen before around Japan and China so why couldn't a person be affected also? It's the sort of thing most think can't happen except for in movies because most think radiation only hurts a body and kills it. But if you know better then you know that radiation, despite its killing power, is greatly able to have side effects. Radiation has the power to alter DNA but most wouldn't know how. It could give you properties that you've never heard of easily. People are still trying to figure out radiation, it's a big mystery for the most part.

Fright Toons

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on at 7:49 PM

I thought I should mention this show, not that it's cyberpunk, but it fits into the horror side of this site loosely. "Beetlejuice", the cartoon series. I loved that show. At first I loved the movie more but the cartoon had a lot more to it because it went on forever. I bet you could pick up the collection somewhere and have a nice collection of episodes. That was back in the 80's when goth and cyberpunk were so incredibly popular. Now days you have to have a really good idea for anyone to go for it. That might be a good idea though if we want to save ideas for future movies so we don't run out of ideas or anything. Sure the 80's were cheesy with movies like "Weekend At Bernie's" but there was a lot of cool stuff going on back then. I suppose we made up for it though with "Interview With The Vampire" and "The Matrix" and other such movies. But if it weren't for those movies we'd never have the movies we have now. The question is are things running out of imagination in those two genres? Not sure but Beetlejuice can kill time till the next one comes around. I think it's great just for the fact that it's the type of thing you could never imagine becoming a cartoon series. And it worked. And being a cartoon, you know that kids are watching it. So it appealed to a huge crowd even more after the movie with this series. Not many movies do become cartoons and to think this one was one is pretty cool, out of all the ones they could've chosen.

Frankenstein Freak Culture

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on at 2:31 AM

The Resident Evil series was probably the most successful line of stories about mutations. And that's an area that could be milked for a long time in numerous ways if they can think of them. Zombies were getting stagnant till Resident Evil came along and showed us that there's something cooler. Like humans turning into beasts. Humans without skin and exposed brains. Humans with massive muscle and horridly stretched skin. And in the video games the mutations are even worse. It's a great idea and so original. I still give it credit to this day for breaking ground. I love the idea of mutations and I love monster movies, so you put the two together and you could create any monster you can think of. It's opening up a large door that doesn't just have to have zombies walking through it. You could create any mutation story and be onto something. It pushes the limits and actually opens our eyes to how perverted science can get if ever taken that far. Since there are scientists already making human/animal hybrids you never know what's possible. Messing with genes and DNA, that's the new cool. The new Frankenstein was "Nemesis". These perversions of science could eerily be real, despite how insane they are. That's the new entertainment, you think they could never be real but you just don't know how scary those college professors really are messing with our fruit in our supermarkets! What's next? A six legged chicken? Sounds like a spider chicken. Now that's freaky.

Industrialized Humanz

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on at 12:28 AM

Versus Art #18. I was thinking some more about how people might adapt if forced to. The reason being with all the recent pollution increasing so bad that it seems we might be forced to eventually. So how on Earth could we evolve? I can't imagine us being able to but anything is possible. Just not like you think... so we might not be pretty human beings anymore like we are now but we'd adapt. We might be grotesque even, possibly, but still adapt. When dinosaurs were alive there was a lot more methane in the air, and less oxygen. A lot of carbon dioxide. But people could get used to it if they had to. They might not live as long but they could get used to it. And that could happen again if we get too much pollution in the air. They already say that the sea life is dying out in favor of gelatinous creatures like jellyfish because of the rising heat of the ocean due to global warming. And in Australia they say that the crops are dying out due to draught from global warming too. So what could be next? Certain types of plants could start dying and new ones could start growing. But it wouldn't be like the same plants that existed in the dinosaur days, things never happen the same way twice. And humans would adapt completely random. It doesn't mean that we'd adapt the same at all if it happens again in the future. As for adapting to massive pollution, I think humans would only look scarier. Maybe tougher skin or scales to fight heat, or thicker hair, or discolored skin. It's so hard to say. Some think smokers are preparing for the future. But that would be a really bleak future if the air was that full of smoke! You wouldn't be able to see unless our eyes adapted to thick smoke! The children of massive industrialization.
