Return To Bloody Silent Hill

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 2:52 AM

If you wanted something scary for Halloween, instead of the usual fair, then you probably went to go see "Silent Hill: Revelation 3D" just like I did. I wasn't sure what to expect but the first movie did set a bar to surpass. I think this movie did just that. It tops the first one and scares you even more. You may notice some gore in here which we only saw some of in the first. This one is bloody, dark, and creepy. The way it should be considering the game is pretty much the same. The games are rather evil and full of dark imagery. I think...

I think the gore was nastier this time around to show you Silent Hill really is evil and not just some child's dreamscape. In the first movie the mother helped the father and daughter escape only to be trapped. In this one the daughter wants to go back to find her mother only to have a revelation of her own, that her real mother was the evil girl ruling over the hellish frightmare in Silent Hill. Why do these spirits exist in Silent Hill you may wonder? Well, it just happens to be a soft spot for supernatural evils to seep through I guess. As she's is told "There is no difference between fantasy and reality". Quite a revelation in and of itself if you believe that. It makes for good writing anyhow. If she was a part of the demon girl then that explains why the darkness followed her. She had no hope of escaping it but she sure tried, hopping from school to school with her dad. And how do you find Silent Hill? That may be the creepiest part. It sort of finds you if you go off the beaten path far enough, no matter where you are. Those who find it are lost souls drawn to it like a hell on earth if you will. The cult that started in that town practiced rituals of evil and awoke an evil that stuck with it. This second outing manages to come off better in every way than the last one. Malcolm McDowell was convincing with his unique eyes of his. The girl finds a way to kill the demon, which can be debated, but it appeared to be what I've heard once before: "Only love kills a demon". That may be true here as well but that can't stop the evil permeating this accursed town. The ending leads into the next video game. Actually there are two new games for your enjoyment. Yes! The evil carnival is similar to the one in Silent Hill 3 for the PS2, playable on some PS3 systems. What's up with the stranger that wants to get to know her better? What fate lies before them? Find out! This one is made for horror fans and shows off the 3D! It has an ending that will appeal to most others as well.
