Just in for Christmas! Cyberpunk paranoia is here again. Someday cities may have no trees. Not a single square foot of dirt ground with grass on it anywhere. Just steel and iron. Is this what a future city will be like. Holographic trees on ground level that you can walk through while the city resides miles above ground. Holograms of all the things that were once real. Holograms of CD cases for digital downloads that we can literally touch and open to pick up the hologram CD then put it in a holographic CD player. CD's that never scratch. A huge holographic CD shelf that appears when you want it to with all your holographic CD's on it. And in this world what role with VR play? Especially if it can trick people by appearing real through the eye or from inside the mind. Holographic dogs or cats when they go extinct? Holographic birds flying around. Holographic forests. What kind of a world would it be without nature? No animal or plant life anywhere. Just overpopulation in buildings that keep getting taller and taller. One layer city atop the next. The bottom layer become a decayed slum. A dessicated world beneath. Cyborgs, robots, holograms, clones, hybrids, mutants. Where will humans fit in? That is a scary question isn't it? Where does humanity fit into a world such as this? This is the basis of most cyberpunk. The loss of humanity. Oppression from technology maybe. And the buildings grow taller.

Guest Commentator CHROMESHINE says: "I rather like the sound of this world. Humans will take out our trash and heat our toast!"
