Anyone remember that show "Jake 2.0"? The guy that worked for the NSA and accidentally got infected with nanites. These nanites inadvertently made him able to interface with computers and hack them from a distance without any connection, except maybe touching something. Pretty wild stuff. The nanites in his blood could pass through a computer on a cellular level and somehow he was able to interact with it. I can't even imagine the thought process going on in his head at the point where he hacks a computer with his brain. Leave it up to the NSA to do some unknown science project that leaves a man superhuman. This show was cool to me but it wasn't the most popular in ratings, which I never pay attention to. These days almost every show dies due to ratings, good or bad. I loved how he had that nerdy scientist girl liking him. She was cute too. How do such young people get jobs at the NSA anyways? That always made me laugh when watching these type of shows. It's impressive that he had the abilities that he did and if you're a cyberpunk this show should entertain. Remember, "Dark Angel" only lasted like 2 seasons and I loved that show. You can't really gauge entertainment value from ratings. Those only help the companies try to make money. It's up to us to go for what's cool. A show like "Lost" did well for several seasons but that was before the big recession hit right after it ended. Have a show like that now and it might be considered "too weird" and only last 1 season possibly. Jake 2.0 is kind of cool but a very niche genre of audience.
