This side scroller hack 'em/slash 'em "The Dishwasher" is so wild. This comic cover is just some fan art someone made but it's really good! I thought it was a real comic at first. It is indeed a game on XBLA in case you didn't know. It came out in 2009 but I love the theme. An undead samurai fights off wave after wave of cyborgs, zombies, and battle bots to save the dystopian future. That is pretty darn cool. There is a story behind the game too in case you're wondering how it got its name. It so turns out that Bruce Lee was a dishwasher and so was the creator, so he wanted to make a game that gave dishwashers their due respect. They get no respect! It's true; I can vouch for this since I too was a dishwasher. Highly under rated work. It's not a job you do for recognition even though it is integral to a restaurant. The graphics are some of the coolest for a side scroller of this style. Admittedly, despite how nice it looks, they just don't make 'em like they used to with gigantic mechanized bosses and huge beasts that fill the screen. But this is not a complaint. No, it is one of the best side scrollers I've seen in a while. It's insanely tough too so you'll be doing a good amount of thumb smashing. You know the swollen thumb right? Get ready. I've had the swollen thumb on more than one proud occasion. It's a badge of honor amongst gamers elite. Do you think you can survive the dystopian future full of horrors? Of course you can. You are undead my friend! There is no time for rest here. The undead never get tired. Become the dishwasher elite.
