Do you really fear drone technology turning into the likes of Skynet someday? That has been the talk all around the web and I'm starting to wonder myself what's gonna happen. The drones are getting bigger and bigger, armed to the teeth with loads of missiles and machine guns. If they built one big enough it could run surgical strikes and use a warthog chain gun. Those warthog guns will tear up a semi like Swiss cheese. They are indeed getting to be about as big as regular jets now too. Totally unmanned and able to take on a mission with the path completely programmed in. In a way this is where all your dollars towards robot technology are going. The technology will eventually trickle down to us common folk in the form of some appliance sold in supermarkets or something like that. This is how it works; the military creates wild, outlandish technology and then reverse engineers it to give us everything. So in a way we do need the top secret projects and nightmarish weapons. Their motto is "be prepared for anything" or so it seems. the downside of this assimilation is that we are at the mercy of the military in a way. If they ever went against us then we would be helpless. Let's hope we never end up in a military state war zone against the Army. So it's quite amazing what robotic technology has created now. I have no fears of something like Skynet but you never know. If all wars were conducted with drone tanks and jets and drone soldiers even then they could be controlled by a master computer. That's where the fear comes in. A.I. controlling our drone armies is not the best idea. Look at movies like "Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones". How did this world even get this bad to have humans facing off against clones? You thought "The Terminator: Salvation" was the only example right? Nope. There are others and it is a scary possibility that most would scoff at. Let's hope they know better after watching the movies! Take the warnings people! Don't reenact the movies for us.This picture looks like a nice model of what Area 51 could be coming up with. I don't trust them.
