The Belgian Blue Bull is a very well known bull for having massive muscle bulging from its body. This is due to an inhibited myostatin gene. People have been trying to duplicate this for years but that would be considered drug doping if you ask me. In this bull it's natural. In cows fed hormones it's not natural so they become more susceptible to infections and we could end up with problems of our own over time. Drug doping is going to be a big craze later on and the Olympics will have their hands full dealing with it. How can you really tell if someone altered genes and made their muscles grow? Gene therapy and gene doping are very tough to distinguish between. It may be near impossible someday too. So will athletes end up getting bigger and stronger without any way to find out? I think that would be a very tough thing to deal with and it might kill traditional tournaments someday. You've heard of strongman competitions, well what if they gene doped? That could lead to disaster. Or what about power lifters? Nobody wants to see them get hurt. I bet there is a way to figure out it but right now we have no idea as far as I know. It's a nice thought that you could be ripped without working out and be a perfect specimen without even trying. That's the holy grail right there. It could be a reality someday but we're not ready for that. When it is perfected what will be the outcome? Nobody would have a need for the gym. Those who could afford it would do it and get the body they want permanently while the others continue to work out endlessly. It'll be business if it ever does become a reality. Everything is business.
