This Is Kick-Ass

This movie "Kick-Ass" was quite the power puncher. Who would have thought this movie would be such a balls to the wall action movie with no real censorship? It's a good action movie with young people in it doing all kinds of wild stunts and kicking bad guy ass. Literally. These kids are mean and in a way not seen in other movies. It's amazing how far movies have come with certain types of material in films. I like the idea of a vigilante teen and the presentation here told the story well. The down on his luck, nerdy teen that gets beaten up wants to fight back and be tough. And he does just that. The violence may shock you...

This movie "Kick-Ass" was quite the power puncher. Who would have thought this movie would be such a balls to the wall action movie with no real censorship? It's a good action movie with young people in it doing all kinds of wild stunts and kicking bad guy ass. Literally. These kids are mean and in a way not seen in other movies. It's amazing how far movies have come with certain types of material in films. I like the idea of a vigilante teen and the presentation here told the story well. The down on his luck, nerdy teen that gets beaten up wants to fight back and be tough. And he does just that. The violence may shock you since there are kids killing people but it's not hard to imagine this movie being a reality if the kids were raised like they were in the movie. There's no reason why an 11 year old girl couldn't be a good warrior with a sword since they're tiny enough to be acrobatic. Kids fighting back against criminals in a violent manner is a cool idea since it sounds like a teen fantasy to be like a super hero. It's not really portraying violence for violence so much as it is being realistic. In reality there are no flying men with capes, just men with weapons. There is some gore in here so it won't be the type of movie you think it will be right off the bat. In modern society we shelter teens and make them seem like children when they're ready to fight or live, except we don't conduct battles on a battlefield anymore. Now we have schools and family life so things have changed but they're not children. I like it since I like action movies and the teens out there are probably wondering why there aren't any action movies with teens in 'em. And if there are they're all PG-13. "The Hunger Games" is another example of teen action taking a new step. I think in the end Kick-Ass really does kick ass and changes action films.
