Plug In And Never Leave

I heard once that some people thought t.v. was like the modern day VR since it's not out yet. With the way things are going lately I wouldn't be surprised though if it does happen, with the digital revolution and all that is. I do think t.v. is a form of VR since they say what our retina perceives is what our mind sees as reality. Of course t.v. does not become our reality but people tend to live out their adventures vicariously through the t.v. to supplement that part of their lives where they may feel empty. So they don't have to go and live life when they can just work all day and then watch movies. It's like t.v. is literally a way to quell the masses in order to keep them in line. And Facebook is sort of the same thing too. Your reality becomes what you show people. These are very early forms of VR in some way. I have no doubt that someday true virtual reality will replace all social media and that'll be another revolution for another time. For now we just have to assimilate to Windows 8 taking us all into the digital age. And that is wild enough. Many of us aren't ready for the end of DVD's or BLU-RAY's. And rightly so, since you won't have anything to hold after those formats expire. Tangible goods are much better to me. Now days instead of looking through a music store the average kid just looks online to see what songs he wants to download. Stores will disappear in favor of online giants and this is what will allow VR to be a viable option. VR is coming someday because we're destroying everything in order to make it possible. I'm sure CD's and DVD's will seem like records to the next generation but they're the only things you can hold in your hands. The next generation will be holding holograms of CD's and DVD's that look real in your hands and feel real. You'll have a virtual DVD collection.
