A Concept Made Reality

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Friday, April 30, 2010 at 11:04 PM

Versus Tek #13. The Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid is one Hell of a car. At this point it's just a concept but since they've reached almost 900 buyers they're about ready to start building... once it reaches 1,000 buyers. This thing has 4 motors, 3 of which are electric, and the other is a V8. Much like a quad core processor in a car this allows the car to have less of a workload on the one main gas motor. You can also choose to run it solely on electric so it's simply able to use either or. The most awesome part about this car is how it's a supercar and yet it's a hybrid that gets 78 mpg! Usually the sports cars get worse milage than the cars on the road but now people will be paying big bucks to get better milage, a good idea in my book. It's light too at around 3,000 lbs. The top speed is 198 mph, just enough to outrun anyone. The best cars should be getting the best milage, unlike the hotrods of old that were major gas guzzlers. Ironically, electric engines have a lot of power and they do have the potential to go faster than a 500 hp car. The V8 in this car has 500 hp by the way. But combined hp is around 680 with all 4 motors. It's about time the supercar really seemed super for once, it goes hella fast, saves more gas than any other car, and kicks ass!

A Green Eyed Blonde Future

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 11:19 PM

I used to wish I could meet a green eyed blonde. Never did meet one though. They are out there though. Green eyes with red hair looks cool too. The green eyed blonde always symbolized some unicorn that was impossible to catch to me. Maybe someday I'll meet her. What is it with green eyes that we love so much? I think it's sort of a jewel color much like an emerald that we've only really seen in cat's eyes and even lion's eyes. So to see a woman with eyes of bright green would be like carrying some trait of the animals in the wild. I think in the future we'll be able to choose the color of our babies' eyes and maybe even other features like hair or skin tone. Designer babies! That is an appalling thought to me but humans are good at being appalling. I wonder if the future holds people with perfect bodies and health. I imagine a future like that could help someone find a mate for anyone. Sometimes I think shopping for a girlfriend might be possible too, a human even. Me and my over active imagination at work I suppose. If you could have the perfect girlfriend or wife for the right price would you pay it? To get the perfect baby what would you pay? Does this cross some sort of line? Would everyone be to similar? Good question.

What Horrors Lurk At Area 51?

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 11:42 PM

It's been theorized by many that the keys to traveling at the speed of light were stumbled upon by astronauts. If you know anything about what that means you know the speed of light relates to time travel. That's pretty far out stuff even for me but I'm simply digesting what I read and turning it into layman's speak for you all. It seems while traveling to space during one launch they reached speeds that catapulted the crew a few nanoseconds into the future. What this means for the rest of us is the future of space travel may be much faster. And while things keep getting faster and faster newer discoveries are going to be made. What kind of discoveries? Not sure but you would never know about it. That's the sort of stuff that would go on at Area 51, the well known Navy experimental aircraft base. I fear early transitions to any possible time travel will be much like humans creating nuclear bombs without any way to dispose of the radioactivity. We never think ahead. Some think if you go back in time and kill yourself then you'd disappear in the future. But what if you didn't? What if it was a tangent, a parallel universe? I fear a modern day vampiric society living off of their youth for a price by constantly going back in time. Is this too far out? Nothing shocks me anymore. Why would I want to go back in time for any reason? It just sounds bad to me. Maybe it'll be a side effect of other discoveries like wormhole travel, which Einstein believed in, and then we'll have to deal with it eventually somehow. Now this makes me think that if I had the option to go to the future would I like the present more? Maybe I would. I used to wish I could live forever but we all know that's not possible without looking the same. With new discoveries I realize the present is great. I don't even really know what to think of top secret research facilities. If there was such a thing they wouldn't want us to know about it. Area 51 fascinates me but the idea also scares me. And what is one supposed to think of all the theories they're coming up with now days that go beyond Einstein? In another life I'd be trying to get into Area 51 like a curious teenager but not in this life.

Darkly Sublime Nightmare

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at 8:13 PM

Versus Movie #81. This movie was so trippy. And be warned, you may flinch on one part towards the end. It's a bit gory but you have to expect that from the cover right? Trust me it's cool though. "Sublime" was the movie. It's done so artistically. The beginning was really artistic, sublime you could say, then it goes into live action. The story revolves around a man that has an accident and falls into a coma. Then his wife and others start theorizing what happens while a person is in a coma. What does happen? That's a good question since it's kinda hard for us to know that. I don't even think doctors could know that now days. He seemed to be in a dream. A dream that seemed ever so real. Once the guy that fell into a coma said, before he entered the coma, that he believed if people in a coma was to cry then they must be feeling pain. That's where you start to get an idea of the horror roots of the story. So the theory is they can feel pain or sadness during a coma. During the coma dream his life seems to go in a very bizarre way, almost like a nightmare. That's the frightening part. The sublime dream goes sour and turns into a real nightmare. This does of course have a really good horror ending too. Very original and well made. Never went to the theater but it's a good one.

Ripping Or Tangible Goods

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 8:01 PM

Versus Tek #12. In this day and age people are ripping DVD's left and right. You know some of them aren't theirs too. But in this information age we have to accept that the internet has allowed us to trade files. There's really nothing wrong with that but some still think it hinders sales of artist works. I don't think so because even if there weren't any P2P programs people would still be going to things like Hulu and watching the newest episodes for free. The reason for all this free stuff is basically the recession I'm sure. You can thank the recession for bringing something good. In that way we can all decide if we want to buy something for real or not. In the end if a person really wants something then they're going to pay for it. I know I love the real DVD much better but if all I can get is a cheap copy burned off the internet then sometimes people do what they must till they can afford DVD's. In the future we won't even have DVD's so what will we have? Will everything be digital? I hope not because then what will we have to preview if we can watch it free online and download it to only get the same thing? Tangible goods are what fill stores. Without them then we'd all be shopping on the internet without any stores in reality. It pays to shop n' burn.

A Novel Art Form

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 11:59 PM

You guys may have noticed that my book is a novella, up above. Well, it is at 123 pgs, and for the most part I think it's becoming more of a commercial art form. A book is always nice because it gets compared to a movie every time while a novella gets compared to a T.V. show episode. Yet some novellas have gone on to become movies. It depends on how much you can fit into the plot within your set number of pages. My story is quite packed with events and action and could easily become a movie instead of a T.V. show. Either way they are attractive in their own slim, portable style. Personally, since I wrote a novella I can say it is quite a cool looking book in hardcover. Some might dismiss it as teen fiction if it's only 123 pages but you really can't do that. On the bookshelf if you have a collection of novellas then it does indeed look very nice and I'm not always motivated to read a 400 page hardcover book that looks like a dictionary. In high school I would read short story collections and get through books much easier that way. That's how I found out about "The Mist" by Stephen King long before the movie ever came out. It's not so bad but you have to be able to pack in a certain amount of events to make it seem more than a short story. They're called short novels, which is a good way to put it. They are more attractive than a big, bulky book for sure but a 300 page book can allow more room for the same events, usually meaning more description. I still like novellas though since I'm not always thinking about a story with more than one plot or sub plots or more characters. You don't always need that. Without novellas we wouldn't even have H.P. Lovecraft. They used to be more admired back in the day for their "style". Perhaps the onset of movie culture has changed things but they are still out there and they look very cool. Pictured here is a collection of horror novellas.

Rip Into The Dark Realm

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 9:11 PM

O.K. so I think this one has a cool plot. "Dark Realm" by Image Comics is something right up my alley. You ever wanted to rip a hole in reality that leads to Hell? Apparently that's what someone has done here and now demons roam on Earth. Not what we want! Demons should stay in fire or where ever they're from. The demons start a series of murders but they're no ordinary murders. There's some significance to them being on a particular day of the year but it's not quite easy to figure out. On top of this someone wants to take control of the demons and rule Earth. Someone else wants to take control instead but not to rule Earth, to keep the demons at bay. Is that really the only solution in this situation? That would be grim wouldn't it? Someone opens a portal to Hell and the only way to keep Earth from getting destroyed is to become the ruler of the demons so they don't attack. It sounds like one of those "no easy way out" sort of scenarios and that could be quite cool. I like the sound of this one. Those sort of scenarios make for good movies too. It does make me wonder sometimes why some plots aren't movies yet but at the same time that's why we like comics and books, it's the imagination underground.

Meet Your Persona

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 8:12 PM

Versus Game #52. So that Shin Megami Tensei is something else huh? They have a whole series of games by now! I particularily liked "Nocturne". One really stands out to me though, "Persona", ever play it? It was a PS2 game in the supernatural roleplaying/action genre. You could call it a classic. Well, they remade it for the PSP now! It has redone graphics and new animated scenes and more. The new trend lately happens to be redoing old games. Like the Wii redoing the original "Resident Evil". But you have to play it on hard mode to get the final battle. I'll be replaying it just for that. So I wonder how different this game is on the PSP version? I bet it's like 100 times better. That doesn't mean the PS2 version is obsolete cause' I love the original versions too. Like "Silent Hill" on the Wii, it's totally different so you could still find something to like about the PS2 original. Some games never lose their value. I'd probably wanna play this version of Persona a lot though since it's such an old game. That's so cool, too bad it's not on the PS3 too. Well you can play the original or Nocturne on the 60GB PS3, if you were lucky enough to have one like me. I can think of some old games that really need remaking bad. This game should be quite popular on the PSP. They also have more sequels up to "Persona 4" on the PS2 so you can't knock the old systems. The remakes are really cool though. I love the website for Persona 4, check it out here: Persona 4. So if you don't have a PSP already then this is a reason to get one.

Bring Your Demons To LIfe

I love the new tattoos they're coming out with. I have tattoos already but I never thought about how you could enhance them. What do I mean exactly? Well those cool blacklight tattoos are becoming all the rage now. And you know you can add blacklight ink to a regular tattoo to enhance certain parts with different colors to make an awesome effect under the blacklight. Like this pic here of a demon goat head, the way the green lights up the eyes and outline is so damn cool. Of course this probably means you'll be attending a lot of parties with blacklights present to show your work off. The ink is some special UV ink they're selling now and it's not cheap. They say the ink doesn't show up during the daytime so how do they do these tattoos? I'm guessing they have to tattoo you under a blacklight too. Wow, that'd be cool for sure. Some call it the alternative for those that want a tattoo that doesn't show up so you can still keep your day job. I'd rather enhance a tat like what this guy here did, that's just too cool for words. I like to use the word "Epic". That is so epic! How much you wanna bet they cost more than your regular tattoo? This takes things to a whole new level of awesomeness I never fathomed before. Tattoos were totally meant to glow!

The Army Might Be Watching Cartoons

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 9:07 PM

Versus Tek #11. Sometimes I think that the Pentagon is probably spending their time watching a lot of movies so they can get ideas for new weapons or technology. You never know really. I mean how many really good ideas have you seen in movies where you thought to yourself "that's a good idea!" and the next thing you know it's real! I've seen plenty of ideas in movies that are far out and hard to imagine but most of the real life technology we have is ironically based on a lot of stuff we've already created in our heads. I watch movies like "Transformers" and I'm in awe of the superior technology at work even though it doesn't exist in reality I know that someone thought it up. The way the cube held blueprints for living machines using radioactivity that could create a living thing out of any machine, far out! It randomized the design for each new machine but the basic core design was always there. Just watching I knew that it had to be possible somehow, but not for another who knows how many years. Not in my lifetime. Truthfully, I think people would try to keep that sort of A.I. from ever happening for a long time. And what about that one huge laser cannon ship from that cartoon show "Star Blazers"? Remember that ship that could wipe out a whole army with one shot from that mega laser? I loved that show. I must admit though that I got it confused with "Robotech" at first. As unbelievable as that ship design is I predict that it could be a reality since it's not outside the realm of the possible. That ship probably has a cult following by now. I've got ideas from so many other movies too. Here's an example of what I'm trying to say, in the black n' white pic you see a realistic design for a satellite anti-matter cannon and in the color pic you see the laser cannon ship from that anime. That ship could influence a design much like the other pic to be built. I keep asking myself though "why would we ever need a satellite anti-matter cannon?" Is that really necessary? Maybe for missile defense or something like that.

The Coming Solar Storm

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 11:27 PM

Versus Tek #10. There's always a positive to a negative. For instance, let's take global warming. Ya see the way I figure since we're all on this "green" revolution we might as well take advantage of this overbearing heat waiting to burn us all to a crisp. I mean seriously you have to admit that a solar crisis like global warming is perfect for the solar panel market. You couldn't write a better script. This is probably the way things go. It's very symbolic of the cycle of things, as things get to be too much and heat is too hot we start going green and as things get back to normal we start trying other energy sources. Like if we had too much water then we'd probably start using water as an energy source, genius really. Or if there was too much wind then we'd use wind to power our houses. I think this is better thinking than using a dam to get electricity since it also kills fish populations. If we just follow the tide then we can keep everything in balance. To not take advantage of all the excess heat would be a grave mistake on our part. Going green is the only way we're going to get back to a cooler climate. It's the cycle of regrowth. We use up all the resources and let them replenish. We cut all the trees and let them grow back while using a different energy. And worse comes to worst, we'd be using ice as energy if we suffered a global warming turned freezing. Sometimes genius is just obvious.

Lobo Is Out For Blood

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Monday, April 19, 2010 at 5:13 PM

Can't wait to see this become a movie! "Lobo" is the comic they're going to turn into a flick for us all. If you know anything about Lobo then you know he's prone to violence and lots of it. This is the sort of anti-hero that really is a true anti-hero. He decimated his whole planet of his race using a chemical agent, supposedly as a science project. The thing is he's really, really smart. So it was probably on purpose. Why? Don't ask. He's got superior healing capabilities and he can even clone himself from a drop of his own blood. So it wouldn't matter if you blow him up since his blood would rebuild him. Does that mean he's completely indestructible? That's what they say. He's 7 ft tall and massively muscled, along with being super smart and hard to kill it sounds like a blessing. So why did a homicidal freak have to go and get that gift? That's the irony of life isn't it? Most of the decimation in this comic series is in jest though, like when he hunts down the person that made a picture making fun of him with crayons. He destroyed a few planets in the process! This sounds like an awesome movie in the making. I just hate it when they give them the same exact costumes as in the comics. "X-Men" did a good job with the updated slick looking black outfits. So is there any reason for a crazed lunatic to have such amazing powers? I guess we'll find out soon. Is there any hope of redemption for him? Gotta wait and see.

Are Humans Actually Aliens?

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 8:36 PM

I had a really weird thought the other day. What if humans are aliens, except we'd never know it. I mean we wouldn't consider ourselves to be aliens right? Right. Except if we were then we would never know since there's nothing else out there. This thought came to me after getting sick the other day and my throat made a really odd high pitch sound. Other times it's made other strange sounds. One could even say those sounds resemble the sounds you hear alien creatures make when they get hurt in the movies. It's like our brain is a creature and if parts of our body are hurting, like the throat, then you hear those spine-tingling sounds. Like our body is the mouth and eyes for a creature in our heads. In truth that is mostly right. The brain is in control of everything. Yet some think the mind is a plaything of the body. I can understand that philosophy but it is most true to say the brain is using our body to speak and see. In movies they have creatures that inhabit your brain and take over. They do all sorts of crazy things in movies but you never know how true that could be. Sometimes I think humans are the real virus, with other minor viruses within us. The world being one single cell holding us within it, thriving.

Dying To Go To Camp

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 6:32 PM

Horror Girl #30. "Sequel Science" episode 17! Got a new horror girl here. She's been around the scene for a while and earned a lot of respect. You could call her underground but many people know of her, "Felissa Rose". She was the star of "Sleepaway Camp", a classic horror movie. That happened to be her first movie back when she was a youngin. She sure looked young in that movie too if you saw it. Little did she know that would catapult her into a career of horror movies! That movie wasn't one of the most well known but it was well known enough to garner attention. She's like an underground goddess. The new one: "Return To Sleepaway Camp" has her coming back and coming off crazier than ever, an awesome acting job! Movies like this make me scared of camps but I always did like those when I was younger. I went to two. This new sequel to the original movie is exactly what you'd be hoping for in a new modern style version of that story. It'll get new fans to get into the older movie for sure. She has a long list of other movies too that you may or may not have heard of. We're close to having a new "A Nightmare On Elm Street" hitting theaters while this sequel is like the underground hit being put into all the Redbox machines in every single Wal-Mart. You can get into Felissa's other movies by going to IMDB and check out the cool stuff she's brewing. She was cute before and hot now, just the way we like it! And how many movies do you know of that have the same hottie come back 20 years later for a new sequel? That like automatically makes her legendary.

Genetic Circus Freaks

CAPTURED by DEATHZ HEAD A.K.A. THE CHILLER on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 10:20 PM

Is anything sacred anymore? I mean growing a human ear on a mouse's back is far out. I can't even fathom how that's possible but if it is, and it is apparently, then that basically tells us we can do damn near anything. It sounds like the beginnings of "Resident Evil" almost. What on Earth would be the purpose of doing such a thing? In a way I'm sure it's cutting costs for college students that are learning to do genetic manipulation but it is kind of a horror show. Suddenly everything I see in movies starts to seem all the more real. I don't know how to feel about that. What's next? A super soldier? That's actually a bad idea cause' they always go rogue in the movies. Man keeps making things that we don't know how to dispose of. On the other hand maybe this will lead to something I heard about once, the possibility of humans that could regrow their own limbs! I know of a lizard that can do that. Lobsters can do that too, betcha didn't know that! So in theory it is possible that humans could develop this ability. I still wonder why cockroaches are able to survive for 3 days if decapitated? What's the purpose of a head that could live for 3 days? Or a body? It's almost as if they're supposed to find each other. That's a creepy evolution idea. They would be unstoppable if that were possible. I don't know where all this science is leading but I think the real enemies are the evil corporations. Not all are bad but every cyberpunk knows they're the worst of the lot. If we can grow a human ear on a mouse's back then why can't we find a way to make our blood resistant to certain diseases just like animals? I'm sure we could eventually. You can give me credit for that. I imagine a circus in the future being full of purposefully made genetic freaks. That's evolution for ya.
